Joseph Burgess, Jr. and his wife Mariolyn Burgess

Joseph Simeon Burgess, Jr. is the second child of Hattie Lee Wynn-Burgess and Joe S. Burgess, Sr.

When Joe was born and gave his first cry, His cousin Elliot and sister, Thajuana asked anxiously, "What's that?" Uncle D.J., never missing an opportunity for a prank told them, "It's Donald Duck". The nick-name stuck and Joe has been known off and on to some family members as "Duck" every since.

He and his wife Mariolyn have two sons, Victor Duane Burgess and Michael Burgess
